My name is Cynthia Alvarado Jones. I am a Reiki Master and
Vita-Flex practioner. I am, who I am not only by choice but, by
necessity. At the end of 2003 a dark cloud engulfed me.
I was heart broken and I took the pain, rejection and anger inward.
My body responded in the only way
it could. My heart closed and I developed a lump in my right
breast. Pain and fear set in so I went to a doctor. After the
examination he order a mammogram. They found a lump on my
right breast. I told no one. I felt completely alone.
So, I cried and prayed, then prayed and cried some more. I
asked God to help me. And, as always he did and this time in record
time..
All I was sure of was I did not
want to be sliced and diced, radiated or mutilated. I lost my joy
and gratitude but still had some self-love. My self-love
demanded that I find an alternative way to deal with my situation.
Two days passed and a friend, whom
I had not seen for months called. She was so excited and said
“ I found a cool non- denominational church. The church is
called Harmony and they have healers there. Let’s go!”
Her enthusiasm lifted my spirit and I was filled with hope and joy.
The days flew by and before I knew
it – it was Sunday. We arrived early because the healings were
before the service. I sat down and a man put his hands on my
shoulders. I looked up at him , he smiled and closed his eyes. His
hands were very warm and soothing. I felt very calm . Then he put
his hands on my head. After a few minutes he took his hands off and
stepped back. I thanked him and he smiled.
We then sat down and the service
began. After the service we went to the meeting room where they
served coffee and sold candles, crystals, books and jewelry. Then I
saw a notice on the bulletin board it read “Sign Up For Reiki I and
Reiki II.” My curiosity was peaked. I asked my friend “Do you know
what Reiki is?” She shook her head no. Just then the Rev. Donna
Jean walked in and I asked her “What’s Reiki ?” She smiled and
explained that it is a form of energy healing. She then informed me
that she taught the classes. I asked her if she had room for one
more. She smiled at me and said ”I’ll make room” I thanked her.
On the way home I blurred out
“THANK YOU GOD, THANK YOU , THANK YOU, THANK YOU!’ My friend
looked over at me and started laughing. “I knew you were going to
like Harmony”! Then, she noticed tears were rolling down my face.
She put her hand on mine and asked “what’s wrong?” I told her about
the lump in my breast and that I had been praying for guidance.
Tears began to well up in her eyes
and I told her “ I just can’t believe my answer came so quickly .
Thank you for inviting me and being God’s messenger.” I replied.
She then asked me “Do You Really Think Reiki Will Help?” I replied
with a grin, “ I Don’t Know But I’m Going To Find Out.”
And, what I found was, My
Lump Disappeared! After 5-20 minute treatments.
Now, I am a Reiki Master who does
self-healing every morning with great gratitude and joy. I have a
Reiki practice and I have decided to start teaching. I have also
explored other forms of alternative healing. I practice Vita-Flex,
which means vitality through reflexology. I apply pressure to
reflex points on the feet, hands, and the body. I also, have
developed formulas of organic oils from herbs, nuts, florals and
plants. |
